Gizem Adıgüzel Özmen studied at Ankara Anatolian High School between 2005 and 2009. She completed her undergraduate education at Ankara University Faculty of Law from 2009 to 2013. During her university studies, she participated in academic and professional programs in cooperation with Bilkent University Faculty of Law, and carried out studies at the European Court of Human Rights and the European Parliament.
In 2014, she pursued an academic career by enrolling in a master’s program at the Ankara University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Private Law (Civil Law). She successfully completed her thesis-based master’s degree under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hasan Ayrancı, taking courses on Bank and Credit Card Agreements, and Prof. Dr. Vedat Buz, focusing on Non-Performance of Obligations. She has advanced proficiency in English and German.
Attorney Özmen has obtained numerous certificates, including participation certificates from the Energy Law Program organized by the Ankara University Faculty of Law and Human Rights Research Society; the “Democracy 101” Youth Project conducted under the Youth Projects Program of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry for EU Affairs; the Capital Markets Board Internship Training Program; and the “Sports Law Practice: Lex Sportiva and Sports Jurisdiction” program organized by Kadir Has University. She also attended the panel on “Competition Safety and Arbitration in Sports” organized by the Turkish National Olympic Committee, received a certificate from the Sports Law Specialized Training Seminar of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, and completed the Advanced Public Procurement Law Training Certificate Program organized by Türavak. She lectures at various educational institutions and organizations, providing training to law students, graduates, and practicing attorneys.
Since 2017, together with Attorney Duygu Önerci Akpınar, she has been providing legal representation, consultancy, and mediation services to well-established companies and public institutions based in Türkiye and abroad through offices located in Ankara and Istanbul.
Attorney Gizem Adıgüzel Özmen has been a member of the Turkish Young Businessmen Association since 2021 and served as a board member of its Ankara Branch between 2022 and 2023. She has also been a member of the 1905 Ankara Galatasaray Businessmen Association since 2022 and has served as a board member since 2023. Additionally, she has held various roles within the Turkish Ice Hockey Federation, Turkish Motorcycle Federation, Turkish Taekwondo Federation, and the Turkish Sports for All Federation.
